Lewis leads the way as Tornados sit in second after day one

Brevard places five in the top ten after day one of the WSSU Spring Challenge

Brevard, N.C. - Parker Lewis was one of two golfers to go under par in the first round of the WSSU Spring Challenge and the Tornados placed five in the top ten as Brevard finished day one sitting two strokes behind tournament leader High Point.

Josh Davis was tied for third after the first day, shooting even par on the Winston Lake Golf Course, as the Tornados finished the round with a score of 305, +21 over for the first day.

Mike Jones, Thomas Rennie and Mike Stamper rounded out the group for the Tornados, finishing tied for ninth after carding a first round 82, +11.

Tee off time for the final round of the two day event is set for 9 a.m.
