Duo finish tied for 25th in the tournament with matching 155s
Myrtle Beach, S.C. - Led by Michael Stamper and T.J. Hoard, the Tornados finished tied for 10th overall at the 11th Annual Myrtle Beach Invitational, finishing with a team total of 627 for the two day event played at the Sea Trail Golf Course.
Stamper led the Tornados through the first round, carding a 76, while Hoard and Thomas Rennie carded 79s on day one. Mike Jones and Zack Christy carded scores of 82 and 84 respectively through the first day to put the Tornados in prime position after the first day.
On day two, Hoard led the Tornados, tying Stamper with the low round for the tournament with a 76, while Rennie and Jones turned in dual 78s. Stamper added a 79 on the second day, while Christy finished the round with a 94.
For the tournament, Stamper and Hoard tied for 25th overall, finishing with 155s, while Rennie was tied for 39th with a 157. Jones came in three strokes back for a 160, while Christy finished with a 178.
The Tornados wrap up the 2010 Fall season at the Fall LMU Invitational as they travel to Tazewell, Tenn. to play at the Woodlake Golf Club on Monday, October 18th.
