Tornados take 17th at the Pinehurst Challenge
Brevard drops 50 strokes off first round total
Pinehurst, N.C. - Alisiya Klochkova led the Tornados as they improved on yesterday’s results, moving up in the tournament to finish 17th overall at the Pinehurst Challenge hosted by Wingate University on Monday and Tuesday.
The Tornados recorded a two-round score of 922, dropping 50 strokes from their first round total to finish 17th in the tournament. UNC Pembroke took home the team title in the tournament.
Klochkova dropped five strokes from her first round score to finish in a tie for 42nd overall with a two-round score of 167. Ashley Allen also dropped 10 strokes from her score to move up to 85th in the tournament, while Rebecca Schoonover dropped 16 strokes from her first round score and Kelsey Wyatt carded a 19 stroke difference on the second day as the Tornados completed the tournament.
Brevard returns to the links on April 4th and 5th as they take part in the Agnes McAmis Memorial Tournament at the Link Hills Country Club as hosted by Tusculum College.
