Klochkova tied for second after first round of Pfeiffer Intercollegiate
Tornados in third after first 18 holes on Monday
Badin, N.C. - Alisiya Klochkova recorded the lowest front nine of the golfers who took the field at the Pfeiffer Intercollegiate at the Badin Resort & Inn and sit in a tie for second overall, one stroke back behind tournament leader Steph Peareth, as the Tornados are third overall in the two-day event.
The Tornados recorded a 351 as a team score in the first round, led by Klochkova’s 74, while Marliana Garman is also in the top 10 in the event, sitting tied for 10th overall with a first round score of 88.
Emily Smith finished the opening round tied for 14th overall with a score of 91, while Ashley Allen is 20th overall after a first round 98. Kelsey Wyatt also challenged the field, finishing up the group in 22nd after the initial 18 holes were played.
The Tornados take on the field to conclude the two day event tomorrow morning at the Badin Resort & Inn.
