Tornados work with TYSA U10 Team United

Women's Soccer ran team through drills at Brevard College

Brevard, N.C. - The Brevard College women’s soccer team recently took time out of their spring schedule to give back to the community, working with the U10 Team United from the Transylvania Youth Soccer Association at the beginning of the April.

"It was a real pleasure to see my team, comprised of 8-9 year old co-ed soccer players, developing skills and having fun beside the talented Tornados," said Coach Drew Brennan. "Their passion for the education of the young people is evident, and the enthusiasm and positive energy of the BC student-athletes was wonderful."

Coach Shigeyoshi Shinohara, Chantel Azevedo, Elena Crowe, Lindsay Pritchard, Bree McMahon, Teresa Musick and Brittany Webster worked with the team coached by Brennan, putting them through passing, shooting and dribbling drills.

"I will encourage each of our team members to come this summer for your camp," commented Brennan. "Clearly, if soccer is going to continue to strengthen in Transylvania County it is through joint efforts like this! I appreciate the generosity of BC Women's Soccer and thank them for the community service they provided."
