Tornados home at BC Soccer Field nine times in 2012
Brevard, N.C. - Brevard College Athletic Director and Men’s Soccer Coach Juan Mascaro, in conjunction with the BC Sports Information Department, is pleased to release the 2012 Brevard College Men’s Soccer Schedule.
The Tornados have 17 competition dates in the 2012 season, with nine home matches in the friendly confines of the BC Soccer Field. The home schedule includes two three-game home stands, as well as four home matches against South Atlantic Conference opponents. The Tornados take to the road eight times during the season, including one neutral site competition against UNC Pembroke, held at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C.
Brevard opens the 2012 regular season on the road, traveling to Due West, S.C. to take on Erskine on August 30th. The match against the Flying Fleet will be the third time the teams have met in the season opener since 2010.
The Tornados return home at the beginning of September, opening their home schedule on September 1st against Belmont Abbey. Brevard remains at home as they continue their home stand against 2013 SAC member Queens University of Charlotte, before hosting USC Aiken on September 8th.
Brevard begins a four game road trip, opening SAC competition on September 11th against Tusculum, before traveling to take on Bluefield. A neutral site competition between Brevard and UNC Pembroke on September 17th will take place at Winthrop University’s Eagle Field. Brevard closes out the road trip at Anderson.
The Tornados return home for their second three game home stand of the season on September 22nd as BC sandwiches games between SAC opponents with a non-conference game against Pfeiffer. Brevard opens against Mars Hill College, before welcoming the Falcons to the BC Soccer Field. The Tornados close out the stretch and the month at home against Wingate.
Coach Mascaro’s squad opens the month of October on the road against Lenoir-Rhyne on October 6th, before returning home to take on Carson-Newman.
A road trip to Harrogate, Tenn. to take on Lincoln Memorial begins the final four game stretch of the season as the Tornados host Virginia Intermont and Newberry, before returning to the road to close out the season on October 27th against Catawba.
