Tornado women's golfers hit the links at Patsy Rendelman Invitational
Salisbury, N.C. - The Brevard College women's golf team completed their third tournament of the fall season Tuesday, competing in the Patsy Rendleman Invitational, hosted by Catawba College. The tournament field featured six South Atlantic Conference teams, including David Nelson's Tornados.
The team title at the Rendleman Invitational went to Belmont Abbey College, which totaled a two-day score of 40-over 616, 18 shots better than second-place Pfeiffer University. Newberry College checked in with a team score of 65-over 641, highest among SAC schools, and NC's Franziska Blum earned medalist honors with an individual score of 2-over 146.
The Tornados finished 11th in the competition with a team score of 291-over 867. Brevard was led by Alisiya Klochkova, who checked in at 56th place overall with a score of 192. Fourteen strokes behind Klochkova was Erin Craig, who finished 58th with a 206. A spot behind Craig was Jennifer Brown, with a score of 230. Katie Brown finished 60th with a two-day total of 239. Rounding out the Tornado golfers was Erica Kellems, who finished strong with a 253.
The Tornados play their next tournament on October 20 and 21 at the Aramark Invitational in Etowah, N.C.
