Pratt Joins 2012 Tornados Women's Soccer Team

Brevard, N.C.- Brevard College Women’s Soccer Coach Shigeyoshi Shinohara is pleased to announce that Kelsi Pratt has committed to play for the Brevard College Tornados women’s soccer team in 2012.

Pratt joins commits Shannon Bava, Lindsay Castevens, Alexis Griffis, Clair Deese, Taylor Hembree, Nicole Miranda, Maddison Holt, Whitney Wellmon, Katherine Nickels, Currin Sessions and Sara Beam as new members of the 2012-2013 BC Women's Soccer team.

Pratt comes to Brevard from The King’s Academy in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she had a brilliant career as a striker under Coach Paul Mobley. Pratt received the 110% Award and Playmaker Award as a freshman, and was voted the team’s Best Offensive Player as a sophomore, junior and senior. She culminated her high school career by winning the Team MVP award following her senior season.

For her work in the classroom, Pratt received the Tennessee Scholars Award, the Balfour Award and the Presidential Educational Excellence Award. She was also named an ACSI Distinguished High School Student. She is the daughter of Jeff and Karen Pratt.

“Kelsi is a fearless player with a great knowledge of the game and a strong desire to play in college,” Shinohara said. “With her academic background, she is a great addition to our program both on and off the field.”
