BC Falls at PresbyterianDecember 11, 2012
Clinton, S.C.- The Tornados were unable to overcome a noticeable height disadvantage against Division I foe Presbyterian College, falling 69-46 to the Blue Hose in the Templeton Center on Tuesday afternoon.
Keyona Allen scored Presbyterian’s first five points, and the Blue Hose jumped out to a 9-2 lead to start the game.
Allen scored 13 points on a perfect 5-for-5 shooting performance from the floor in the first half to help PC take a 30-18 lead into the break. The six-foot freshman finished with a game-high 18 points.
Brevard struggled to stop PC from scoring inside as six-foot-two center Mariah Pietrowski also scored in double figures. The senior finished 12 points and four rebounds.
Micheala Watkins scored a team-high nine points for BC, and also recorded four steals. The Tornados had 19 steals as a team and converted 17 points off PC turnovers.
The Tornados closed the game on a 9-2 run, but it was too little too late for BC. The Tornados bench fueled the run, and scored 24 points in the contest.
The Tornados look to rebound as they visit Mount Olive College on December 19th at 5 p.m.
