Dillman Remains Undefeated in SAC Singles in Loss to Wolves

Brevard, N.C.- BC’s Claire Dillman recovered from a loss in the first set to remain perfect in SAC singles play at the McCoy Tennis Complex on Wednesday afternoon. The Brevard College women’s tennis team, however, dropped an 8-1 match to the Newberry College Wolves.

Dillman fell 6-0 in the opening set to Susana Aguirre before taking the final two sets 7-5 and 11-9 on the first singles court. Dillman improved to 9-2 overall and 3-0 in South Atlantic Conference competition with the win while Aguirre drops to 12-6 overall and 4-2 in conference play this season.

BC falls to 2-9 on the season and 0-3 in SAC play while Newberry moves to 12-6 and 4-2 in conference this season.

The Tornados are back in action as they host the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the McCoy Tennis Complex.
