Men's Tennis Falls to LMU

Brevard, N.C.- The Brevard College men’s tennis team dropped an 8-1 match to the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters at the McCoy Tennis Complex on Tuesday afternoon.

BC freshman David Taggart prevailed on singles court number two, defeating LMU’s Will Sparks 6-1, 6-3 to improve to 3-2 in South Atlantic Conference singles this season. Taggart is 8-7 overall this spring in singles action.

LMU’s Philipp Hoffmann and Alexey Minevskiy narrowly edged Taggart and Johannes Kloster 9-7 on the first doubles court to start off the afternoon while Marcelo Alvim and Will Sparks defeated BC's George Finch and Stefano Giovanolli  8-3.

The Tornados are back in action as they visit the Catawba College Indians on Saturday afternoon for a 1 p.m. match at the Johnson Tennis Center.
