Seniors Lead BC Past Coker

BREVARD, N.C.- Brevard College senior Erin Rollins tied her career-high of 15 kills en route to a 3-0 Tornados defeat of the Coker Cobras on Friday night in Boshamer Gymnasium. BC clinched the Senior Night victory by scores of 25-11, 25-18, and 25-18.

Rollins turned in a game-high 15 kills at a .500 hitting percentage, which was a season-best for the Tornados. BC attacked at a .280 clip as a team for the match.

Joining Rollins in double figures in kills was fellow senior Joy Oswalt, who finished with 11 kills at a .321 hitting percentage. Senior Megan Clark also chipped in six kills.

Kayla Hanus, another senior for the Tornados, contributed a game-high 31 assists along with eight digs. Freshman Aleksandra Vrvilo led BC with a game-high 14 digs.

Rollins, Oswalt, Clark, Hanus, Kortney Conner and Amanda Possidente were all honored in a pregame ceremony for their contributions to the BC volleyball program.

Brevard improves to 7-16 overall and 3-15 in South Atlantic Conference play with the win.

The Tornados will wrap their 2013 home schedule on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. as they host the Wingate Bulldogs in Boshamer Gymnasium.
