Queens Takes Victory Over Brevard

BREVARD, N.C.-  The Brevard College (1-17, 0-10 SAC ) men’s tennis team could only tally two points in their 7-2 against Queens University of Charlotte (11-4, 7-2 SAC) at the McCoy Tennis Complex on April 10.

After finishing doubles at 0-3, the Tornados gained their two points from No.5 and No.6 spots.

Finch played Nizar Kuseybi at No.5 singles after losing in doubles 8-2 with partner Nathan Sabate. George only allowed one point in each set against Nizar resulting in a 6-1 win in each.

Guiilherme Prophirio played Sean Harris at No.6 singles. Prophirio took the first set at 6-1 then fell in the second at 4-6 resulting in an extra set for the two. BC took the victory at the Tornados player finished at 6-1 over the Royals Harris.

Nathan Sabate competed against Ignacio Casali in No.3 singles where he finished short at 7-6 in the first set then fell behind at 6-4 in the second.

Brevard will host Coker College this Saturday, April 12 at the McCoy Tennis Complex at 2:00 p.m. A senior ceremony for Michelle Prata will begin at 1:45 p.m.
