Men's Lacrosse Releases 2015 ScheduleOctober 7, 2014
BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College men’s lacrosse head coach, Kevin Anderson, is pleased to announce the 2015 men’s lacrosse schedule. Brevard has 15 games scheduled, with nine of them being played in Brevard while they play on the road six times.
“We are just excited to compete in the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) in our second year as a program”, head coach Anderson said. “It will be a good test for our young players to see where they are and how they can continue to improve in this tough conference.”
The Tornados open the season with four non-conference games, with the first in Rome, Georgia to face Shorter on February 10 before returning home for a three-game home stand to face Emmanuel and North Greenville on February 14 and 18, respectively. The home stretch concludes against Young Harris on February 21, before the team begins SAC play at Wingate on February 28.
The team returns home to face Belmont Abbey on March 4 in non-conference play before returning to conference action on March 7 against Catawba.
Brevard will then hit the road for two conference games on March 11 and March 14 to face Lenoir-Rhyne and Queens, both of which faced off in the 2014 SAC Men’s Lacrosse Championship game last season, while Queens appeared in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II tournament.
The Tornados will then return home on March 18 to face 2014 SAC Men’s Lacrosse Championship semifinal qualifier, Mars Hill, before facing Colorado State-Pueblo on the 21.
Brevard finishes up the season with a road games against Tusculum on the 28 of March and at Lees-McRae on March 31 before returning home to host Lincoln Memorial and Coker on April 4 and 11, respectively.
The SAC Men’s Lacrosse Championship will take place in Charlotte, N.C. on April 16-18.
