2015 Women's Lacrosse Schedule ReleasedOctober 22, 2014
BREVARD, N.C. – Brevard College women’s lacrosse head coach, Frank Rogers, is pleased to announce the 2015 women’s lacrosse schedule. There are 16 games scheduled, with 11 being played at home and five on the road.
“As we head into our second season we are very excited with what this season could bring us. The ladies have been working very hard and we had a productive fall ball”, said Coach Rogers. “We are a very young team, with 13 freshmen, with our two play days I think they now understand and know what they have to do to compete at the next level”.
The Tornados open their season with three home non-conference games, beginning with Methodist on February 14, North Greenville on February 18, and ending with Mount Olive on February 21.They open South Atlantic Conference (SAC) play on the road against Wingate on February 28 before heading to play non-conference foe, Converse on March 4.
“We are playing a challenging schedule, but I feel with our core upper classman, a good freshmen class and some key midyear transfers if we keep doing what we are doing it will be a fun season”, Rogers went on to say.
The team then plays against four straight 2014 SAC Championship qualifiers. They host Catawba on March 8 and then hit the road at 2014 SAC Championship Finals runner-up, Lenoir-Rhyne, on March 11 before traveling to conference champion, Queens on March 14. Brevard wraps up this stretch against Newberry on March 18 at home.
Brevard then plays two non-conference opponents in Emmanuel and Colorado State at Pueblo at home on March 21 and 25, respectively, before taking the final road trip of the season at Tusculum on March 28 and at Lees McRae on April 1.
