Graham Named AstroTurf SAC Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Brevard’s Lizzie Graham has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for her two-goal performance in a 3-1 Tornados victory over Coker on Saturday. She is also the first player in program history to win the weekly honor.

The senior from Mooresville, North Carolina provided the game’s first goal just 5:18 into the match. She received a feed from teammate Alexis Griffis from the midfield and then dribbled by the defense, tapping the ball by the keeper for an early lead.

The eventual game-winner came in the 32nd minute when Graham fired a shot to the upper left corner of the net for a 2-0 lead, which was again assisted by Griffis.
The Tornados wrapped up their season on Saturday as well and Graham finished with four goals, which tied for the most on the team.  She also finished her career with six goals.

Brevard finished the year on a three-game winning streak and had a 6-11 overall record which matched the programs highest win total (six) and set the best winning percentage (.545) since 2009 while also having the most wins in conference play (three).
