Women's Lacrosse picked eighth in preseason poll

ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Brevard College women’s lacrosse team was picked eighth in the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) preseason poll, released today by the league.

The Tornados finished with 24 points, just one behind Tusculum and one ahead of Lincoln Memorial. The Tornados look to pick up their first win in program history in their second year of existence.

Queens was picked to win the conference with eight first-place votes and 72 points while Lenoir-Rhyne was seven points behind in second. Newberry finished with 55 points and third in the preseason poll while Catawba was just two points behind in fourth. Wingate finished fifth with 42 points and Coker sixth with 36 points.

Brevard begins its season at home against Methodist on February 14. They open up conference play against Wingate on the road on February 28.
