Tornados picked 11th in SAC baseball poll

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Brevard was picked to finish 11th in the South Atlantic Conference preseason coaches’ poll that was released this morning by the conference office.


The Tornados garnered 34 votes and occupy the final position in the 11-team standings after a 10th-place finish and a 9-17 mark in conference play a season ago.


Catawba, which shared last year’s regular season title with Wingate and won the SAC Tournament, was picked to repeat as champions with nine of the possible 11 first-place votes. Wingate occupied the second slot, while Tusculum, Newberry, and Lincoln Memorial rounded out the top five.
