Reilly grabs his second Defensive Player of the Week Award

ROCK HILL, S.C. –Brevard men’s lacrosse goal keeper, Andy Reilly was named AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, leading his team to a 1-1 week.

Reilly, a senior from Delmar, New York, had a combined 39 saves in two games this week for a save percentage of .639. He allowed just 22 goals on 97 shots faced.

Against No. 14 Belmont Abbey on Wednesday, Reilly had 11 saves on 35 shots. Against SAC opponent, Catawba, he allowed 11 goals on 62 shots faced while stopping 28, including eight in the final quarter of play in which there were 20 total shots.

The Tornados (4-3, 1-1 SAC), who now have their most wins in program history, will look to move above .500 in conference play with a trip to Hickory, North Carolina on Wednesday to face Lenoir-Rhyne.
