Nemeth named to All-SAC Honorable Mention team

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Brevard College women’s lacrosse freshman Caitlyn Nemeth was named to the All-South Atlantic Conference (SAC) Honorable Mention team, announced by the league today.

Nemeth, a freshman from Old Bridge, New Jersey, has been a large part of the growing success of the Tornados lacrosse team. She led the team in goals (47) and points (58). She is third in the SAC in goals and fifth in points. She is 23rd in the nation in total points as well. She was also tied for 11th among Division II players in goals and 13th in goals per game with 3.62.

She scored a goal in all but two of the 13 games she played in. Nemeth had a season-high 11 points (nine goals, two assists) during a 20-11 loss to Lees-McRae on April 1 and then five goals and two helpers during the Brevard’s first-ever conference win in program history against Lincoln Memorial on April 4.

Nemeth also had 10 of 13 games with two or more goals on the season and had five straight games between March 18 and April 11 with three or more goals.

She and the Tornados have one more regular-season game to play against non-conference opponent North Greenville University on Tuesday, April 21. The game is being made up from February 26. Live stats are available for the game at
