Brevard opens fall season at Belmont Abbey Tournament

Belmont, N.C. – Brevard College’s women’s tennis team opened up the fall season at the Belmont Abbey on Friday taking on Belmont Abbey and Queens.

Nirvana Silva and Katie Hatter teamed up for the first doubles duo of the fall, falling DeFrench and Mehan of the host and falling 8-1. Silva and Hatter also played in singles versus Erika Noblett and Ali Bates, losing by scores of 6-3, 6-1 and 6-0, 6-2. Natalie Green also saw singles action, losing 6-0, 6-1 to Hannah Davis.

In the second contest of the evening, Silva and Green teamed up versus Queen’s dup of Melissa Lianf and Calotta Nassi losing 8-0. The trio of Silva, Green and Hatter all played competed in singles play losing 6-0, 6-0.

The team continues play tomorrow for the Tornados at the Belmont Abbey Tournament.
