Brevard picked to finish 12th in conference preseason poll

Rock Hill, S.C. – The South Atlantic Conference announced the 2016 men’s tennis preseason poll on Thursday morning, with the conference coaches predicting a 12th place finish for the Tornados this season.

Wingate was voted the favorites to win the conference for the third-straight season, receiving the most points from the conference coaches with 130 while also gaining nine first place votes. Queens and Tusculum rounded out the top three with 124 and 112 points while the Pioneers received two first place votes with one going to Anderson who was picked to finish fourth with 110 points.

The Tornados saw improvements last season, picking up its most victories since the 2011 season.
