MONROE, N.C. – Brevard sits unofficially in fifth place on the leaderboard after the first day of competition at the Hargett Memorial Invitational, seven strokes back of leader Young Harris.
Play was suspended due to darkness with five players unable to complete their second round. Although each Brevard golfer completed 36 holes on Sunday, second round results are unofficial until all golfers finish the round.

Oskar Lundgren was even in both of his rounds on Sunday to sit in a tie for 20th, while Trym Falch’s one-over 145 placed him in a tie for 28th. Luis Vega and Craig Stephen each carded a three-over 147 to place 40th.
Tusculum’s Brad Hawkins leads all golfers at nine under par, shooting a 67 in the first round and a 68 in the secon. He leads by three strokes over Nick Stafford from Belmont Abbey and Charles Hartzog from Mars Hill.
