TIGERVILLE, S.C. – Brevard College’s women’s tennis team took on North Greenville on the road on Thursday afternoon, losing to the host Crusaders 9-0. With the result, Brevard drops to 2-11 overall.
In doubles action, Nirvanna Silva and Anita Maryskova paired up at the top slot, falling 8-3 against Camille Duhan and Christina Kiessling. Sam Miranda and Rachael Stanford teamed up on court two against Maria Vargas and Kylie Sandusky in an 8-0 loss. Katie Hatter and Claire Dysart rounded out the doubles units in an 8-1 defeat against F. Santos de Lucca and Graysen Elms.
Silva took the top flight for BC in singles play, falling 6-2, 6-0 against Duhan. At the second position, Maryskova gave her NGU counterpart two competitive sets but lost the bout 6-4, 6-4. Miranda played at court three against Kiessling, falling 6-1, 6-0 while Stanford and Hatter both lost 6-0, 6-1 at the fourth and fifth position. Playing at the sixth position, Dysart lost 6-2, 6-3.
Brevard is back in action on Saturday, Mar. 19, when they host Coker with first serve scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
