Rhyne leads Brevard after day one of Agnes McAmis MemorialApril 4, 2016
GREENVILLE, Tenn. – Brevard College’s women’s golf team began play in the Agnes McAmis Memorial, the final event before the South Atlantic Conference Championship, sitting in 15th after the opening round with a 368 score.
Kelsie Rhyne posted the lowest day one score for the royal blue and white for the second consecutive event with a 90, one stroke ahead of Taylor Scovel who posted her lowest opening round score of the spring. Courtney Sharp ended the opening round with a 92 score followed by Maddie Lutz who finished the day with a 95.
Lincoln Memorial leads a field 311 score, followed by Tusculum and King who both posted a 320. The field had seven South Atlantic Conference schools competing as Newberry (321), Carson-Newman (324), Lenoir-Rhyne (328) and Anderson (329) were all present.
Brevard will look to climb up the leaderboard on day two of the Agnes McAmis Memorial, which is scheduled for tomorrow.
