BC's Linn, Galloway Earn All-Star Spots for SCBL All-Star Game

Brevard, N.C. – Brevard College baseball standouts Spencer Linn and Shane Galloway each earned a spot on the All-Star Team in the Southern Collegiate Baseball League, headlining a list of a number of summer performances by Brevard College players in 2008.

Linn, who is both pitching and playing in the field for the Asheville Redbirds this summer, made the South Team All-Stars for his work on the mound in the first-half of the short season. The right-hander is 2-1 on the year with an ERA of 2.31 in 23.1 innings pitches in five appearances.
Galloway, a teammate of Linn’s on the Asheville Redbirds was also named as an alternate to the South Team All-Stars as a pitcher. The left-handed hurler, who has not received much offensive run support in a number of his outings, is 1-3 in six appearances for the Redbirds, having posted an ERA of 4.25 over 36.0 innings of work.
