Volleyball wins both matches

Brevard, N.C. - The Tornados won both of their matches on Saturday, the first in four sets against Converse and the second in five sets against North Greenville. With the wins Brevard improved to 6-2.

Brevard started strong in the first match against Converse with  Chelsea Larsen and Brooke Seaman leading the attack, Larsen with 14 kills and Seaman with 12 kills. The Tornados overwhelmed Converse in the first two sets winning 25-10 and 25-15. Converse then came out and won the third set 30-28 before the Tornados put them away 25-18 in the forth set.

Rebecca Schoonover played solid defense for the Tornados with 15 digs in the first match.

Momentum in the North Greenville match changed multiple times with the Tornados winning the first, third, and fifth sets, while North Greenville won the second and forth sets. Seaman had 18 kills and just once attack error, while Larsen had 17 kills, four of which were difference makers in the fifth set.

The Tornados play a conference match on Tuesday September 15 when Newberry Travels to Brevard for a 7 p.m. match.
