Tornados make it two in a row at Benedict Quadrangular

Rennie takes home medalist honors with 74

Columbia, S.C. - The Tornados men’s golf participated in the one-day Benedict Quadrangular yesterday afternoon held at Oak Hills Country Club in Columbia, S.C. Led by medalist Thomas Rennie, the Tornados won the tournament, carding a 307 to defeat Paine College by 11 strokes.

Rennie recorded a 74, 2-over for the tournament in leading the team to the win.

Thomas Bush was close behind, shooting a 77, while a trio of Tornados in Mike Jones, Joshua Davis and Parker Lewis finished with 78s to complete the five-some put on the course by Coach Michael Bayne.

With the win, the Tornados are on a two-tournament win streak heading into next week as Brevard travels to Links Hill Country Club in Greeneville, Tenn. to participate in the Tusculum Fall Invitational, set to begin on Monday, September 28.
