Bulldogs top the Tornados 8-0
Wingate, N.C. - The Tornados lost at Wingate Saturday afternoon. Luke Mulholland’s hat trick led the way for the first place Bulldogs while Jamie McKenna and Paul Gallagher each added two goals topping Brevard 8-0 and remaining undefeated in the conference.
Wingate improves to 8-1 overall and 4-0 in the SAC, while the Tornados falls to 1-12 and 0-5 in the SAC.
The Bulldogs scored four goals in the first half, three of which were with in four minutes of each other. Brevard goalkeeper, Jack Shaw faced eight shots on goal allowing seven goals and saving one before Thomas Kombol entered the game for the Tornados . Kombol played 38 minutes allowing one goal and saving two.
Henri Erti and Chris Lanvik-Larsen each took a shot for the Tornados as the first place Bulldogs outshot the Tornados 29-2.
The Tornados return to action on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. match at home against Clayton State.
