Brevard, N.C. - The Tornados fell to Lenoir-Rhyne Wednesday night, 74-49. Brevard scoring was spread among ten players, led by Samantha Winn with nine and Alyssa Cutshaw with seven. Amber Holt led the Bears with 14.
The Tornados fall to 7-13 and 1-8 in the SAC, while Lenoir-Rhyne improved to 14-6¬ and 6-3 in the SAC.
Amber Roberts led the team with six in the first half, converting two of three from three-point range. Brevard converted 50 percent (4-8) from beyond the arc, accounting for 12 of their 18 first half points.
Lenoir-Rhyne began the game on a 14-2 run and saw their biggest lead of the half when they went into the locker room up 37-18.
The Tornados went on a 7-0 run in the second half, but failed to get back in the game when Lenoir-Rhyne regained their biggest lead of the game, 27.
Cutshaw and Katelynne Poole led the Tornados with four rebounds a piece while the Bears out-rebounded the Tornados 43-28.
The Tornados are back in action on Saturday when Lincoln Memorial travels to Brevard for a 2:00 tip-off.
