Salisbury, N.C. - Samantha Winn garnered postseason honors his season, being named to the 2010 North Carolina Collegiate Sport Information Association All-State College Second Team.
The senior from Candler, N.C. was one of 11 athletes at the Division II level selected to the team, after a senior campaign which saw her set the Brevard College women’s basketball all-time scoring record in finishing her career with 1,554.
Winn finished third in the South Atlantic Conference in scoring this season, averaging 18.3 points per game and was among the leaders in the conference in multiple categories in the conference, including rebounding and field goal percentage.
Eleven players representing 11 different North Carolina Colleges and Universities have been named to the 2009-10 NCCSIA College Division All-State team. JaToya Kemp, of UNC Pembroke, is one of three student-athletes to repeat their selections from last season as she moved up from the second team a year ago. The other repeat selections are Esty Flores, of Barton, and Marissa Hudley, of Queens, who earned second team honors after being named to the first team last year.

Founded in 2002, The North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) is comprised of sports information professionals from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and independent institutions from the state of North Carolina. The purpose of the organization is to promote collegiate athletics at all schools. Membership is open to anyone affiliated with a college, university or conference located in North Carolina, and whose area of responsibility lies within sports information.
NCSSIA selects all-state teams in the University (Division I) and College (Division II, III, NAIA) divisions for men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, softball and baseball.
