Brevard tops visiting Mars Hill, 9-0

Brevard, N.C. - All four of Coach Paul Thomson’s seniors recorded wins on Senior Day as Brevard swept the visiting Mars Hill Lions on Thursday afternoon at the BC Tennis Complex.

With the win, Brevard improves to 11-3, 4-1 in the South Atlantic Conference, while Mars Hill falls to 2-10, 1-4 in conference play.

Kim Dixon and Lindsay Shaeffer opened up doubles play with a victory on court No. 1, while Kayley Duval and Lindsay Hostetter teamed up for the win on court No. 2. Elise Labus and Jennifer Nyman completed the doubles sweep with their victory over Miranda Reasoner and Jordan Dockery.

Claire Dillman, Merek Slagle and Sara Douglas all added victories in singles play as the Tornados completed the sweep over the visiting Lions.

The Tornados are back in action on Thursday, April 8th, as Brevard travels to Jefferson City, Tenn. to take on Carson-Newman with first serve coming at 2:30 p.m.
