Brevard, N.C. - The Tornados football team opened spring practice this week and will be gearing up for the 2010 Spring Football Game, scheduled for April 17th at Brevard Memorial Stadium, with kickoff of the spring game slated for 2 p.m.
Brevard finished the 2009 season with a 7-4 record in their second season as full members of the NCAA Division II and the South Atlantic Conference, receiving votes in the AFCA Division II poll for the first time as a program. The Tornados were also recognized by Somis Sports as the 11th most improved Division II Football team in 2009 and the 40th most improved program across all levels of NCAA Collegiate Football.
The Brevard College Spring Football Game will be jointly hosted by Brevard College and the Boys and Girls Club. Activities going on before and during the game will include face painting, meeting the BC players, autograph signing and various games will be played.
Tickets to the BC Spring Football game at $5 for adults, while all kids will receive free admission. 100 percent of all ticket sales go to the support of the Boys and Girls Club. Tickets can be purchased at the Boys and Girls Club and will also be available to be purchased at the gate.
