Etowah, N.C. - The Tornados men’s golf team sits in third overall through the first day of the 2010 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference tournament, held at the Etowah Valley Country Club.
Brevard is four strokes behind second place Newberry and seven strokes back of tournament leader Lincoln Memorial through the first 27 holes of play, as play started late in the morning due to frost on the course.
Joshua Davis is tied for second overall in the tournament, sitting at even par, having recorded a first round score of 71, 1-under. Davis is currently 1-over through the first nine holes of the second round and sits two strokes behind Lenoir-Rhyne’s Jack Garrett.
Thomas Bush is currently tied for 11th in field after carding a 27-hole total of 4-over for the round, and Parker Lewis is also among the leaders, sitting tied for 16th at 7-over.
Thomas Rennie carded a 27-hole total of 9-over and Michael Stamper rounds out the group tied for 37th with a score of 12-over.
