Brevard, N.C. - The Brevard College Athletic Department and Coach Juan Mascaro are pleased to announce the 2010-2011 Men’s Soccer signing class which includes nine commits: Sean Allison, Andrew  Gallowitch, Nino Jessup, Pauli Jussila, Patrick Urmson, Jami Uuttu, Ryan Bailey, Adam Martin, and Jake Parker.

The class includes three North Carolina natives, a Tennessee native, a Florida native, a California native and three Finnish players in Jussila (Valkeakoski, FINLAND), Urmson (Rauma, FINLAND), and Uuttu (Naantali, FINLAND).

Allison, a forward/midfielder hails from Santa Rosa, Calif. Allison attended AC Reynolds High School in Asheville, N.C. where he received All-Conference and All-Region honors twice for Coach Patrick Gladys.

Gallowitch, also a forward/midfielder comes to Brevard from Monroe, N.C. where he attended Sun Valley High School. He received the Offensive MVP award in 2007, All-Conference honors in 2007 and 2009, as well as All-Region and All-Team MVP in 2009 under Coach Steve Hancock. Gallowitch also was a member of the track team.

Jessup, also a North Carolina native, hails from Jacksonville, N.C. and attended high school in Germany at Hohenfels High School. Jessup received All-Conference First Team honors in 2009 and was a member of the 2006 conference championship team. The four year varsity letter winner was also a four year honor student and member of the cross-country team.

Bailey is a goalkeeper from Bostic, N.C. where he attended East Rutherford High School. As a team captain in 2008 and 2009, he received All-Conference honors, and was named Defensive player of the year in 2009. The four year starter holds the record at East Rutherford High for the most clean sheets in a single season and career, and also holds the record for least amount of goals scored in a single season and career. Bailey, an Honor Roll student, also played football and baseball and received the Football Academic Award in 2008.

Martin, a midfielder/forward from Cleveland, Tenn., attended Cleveland High School where he was a four year varsity letter-winner. He appeared in two Tennessee State High School Championships and in 2009 played for the No. 2 team in the state and No. 27 team in the nation with a 20-1-3 overall record. Martin received international training in Manchester City and in Italy, and is a certified soccer coach and referee. Off the field, he is a Tennessee scholar and was part of the Highest Distinction Senior Honors Group while remaining on Honor Roll from 2006-2009.

Parker, a midfielder from Tallahassee, Fla., attended Lawton Chiles High School where he was a four year varsity letterman, three year starter and team captain in 2009. Parker’s honors include MVP and Midfielder of the Year as he played in two district championship finals, and made two regional appearances. Parker was also a member of the Track and Field and Swim teams, receiving Track and Field Rookie of the Year, while qualifying for districts in Track and Field and regionals in Swimming. Off the field, he is an Honor Roll student, a two-time Florida High School Athletic Association Scholar Athlete, and a member of the National Honors Society.

Coach Mascaro and the Tornados will play three scrimmages in late August leading up to their first game of the 2010 season on September 2, 2010 at Erskine. Kick-off is set for 7pm.
