Coach Shinohara says Blair is the type of player they have been looking for this off-season. “I am very excited to sign Francie in our team. Her ability to play multiple positions will help lead us towards out competitive goal,” says Shinohara. “We see her versatility as a great strength.”
Off the field, Blair is a member of the National Honor Society, a Girls State Delegate, and part of the Top Ten Academic Seniors.

She was named All-Conference and All-Region in 2009 under Coach Michael Buckner at Enka High, and was also team captain, totaling over 20 goals and 15 assists. In addition to being captain of the varsity soccer team, Crow was also captain of the varsity basketball team. Coach Shinohara is excited to see what she can do both on and off the field.
“I am absolutely thrilled to sign Elena. She is a hard-worker and will be a threat up top in our program,” says Shinohara, I really feel that Elena will not only make a positive impact in our program but has huge potential to help our team stand out in the SAC.”

“I am delighted to sign Laura in our squad this fall. Laura will give us depth at the midfield position,” says Shinohara. “She is very technical and that ability will help set the tone to take the team to the next level.”
The Tornados open the 2010 regular season at Erskine on September 2, at 5 p.m. as they look to improve on last year’s 6-12-1 record with nine newcomers and 17 returners on the field. Going into their third year as a member of the South Atlantic Conference, Coach Shinohara and the Tornados feel they will compete at a higher level, coming off a 2009 season in which they received a bid to conference tournament for the first time in the school’s history
