Brevard, N.C. - The Brevard College women’s soccer team was unable to defeat the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon. The match came out to a 0-0 draw after 110 minutes of play, and called a tie.
The Tornados only managed to take four shots in the game with their first coming on a header by Elena Crowe (Candler, N.C.) with less than 12 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Abigail Rusch (Franklin, N.C.), Alyssa Caracena (Raleigh, N.C.), and Jamie Bundy (Platte City, Mo.) were each able to rattle off a shot in the match.
Brittany Webster (Stafford, Va.) looked good in goal taking on 13 shots, making six saves for Brevard. Webster spent all 110 minutes in net for the Tornados.
Brevard wasn’t able to take a corner kick in the entire match, while the Warriors took nine.
The Brevard women are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Young Harris, Ga. to square off with the Mountain Lions. The match is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
