Prosperity, S.C. - The Brevard College men’s golf team took on the field this weekend at The Honda Columbia Fall Classic held at the Mid-Carolina Country Club. The Tornados recorded a two day total of 615, 39-over on their way to finishing eighth overall at the event.
Michael Stamper was the low scorer for the Tornados in the event, improving on his first round score of 76, by carding a 74 on the course on Saturday to finish with a 150, 6-over on his way to finishing tied for 25th.
T.J. Hoard also improved on his first round total in recording a 153 over the two rounds to finish in a tie for 34th. Mike Jones had back-to-back 77s to finish one stroke back of Hoard in a tie for 36th overall in the event, while Thomas Rennie finished in a tie for 46th. Zach Christy rounded out the group Coach Matt Adamski placed in the field.
The Tornados are back on the links tomorrow morning as they head to the Cherokee Valley Golf Club in Tigerville, S.C. for the North Greenville Invitational.
