Anderson, S.C. - The Brevard College men’s soccer team was unable to contain the Trojans of Anderson University’s offense on Tuesday afternoon as they fell 8-0. The Trojans took an early lead and never looked back as they were able to net eight goals in the contest. With the loss the Tornados fall to 1-12-1 on the season and 1-6 in South Atlantic Conference play.
Anderson opened up the scoring in the first 10 minutes of play when Clement Samson took a shot from 15 yards out following a save to score the first goal of the game at 8:34. Samson’s goal gave the Trojans an early 1-0 lead.
Ben Jones who was credited with an assist on the first goal scored from 15 yard away from the net to give Anderson a 2-0 lead at 13:08. The scored would remain the same heading into halftime.
The Trojans added on to their two goal lead six times in the second half in route to their 8-0 victory over Brevard.
The Tornados are back in action on October 23rd when they play host to the visiting Wolves of Newberry. Game-time is set for 3 p.m. at the Brevard College Soccer Field.
