Brevard, N.C. - Brevard College head women’s basketball coach Bill Wilson announced today that Holli Flippo has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic career at Brevard College.

Holli Flippo, who hails from Kingston Spring, T.N., is a 5-6 guard who is a four year letter winner for the girl’s basketball program at Harpeth High School where she played for head coach Drew Johnson. As a senior, Flippo led her team in every statistical category averaging 14.0 points per game, 9.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 5.0 steals per game. The sharp-shooting guard made 141 three-pointers in her last two seasons while shooting 44% from behind the arc. For the past two seasons she has been named to the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association All-District First Team as well as being named to the TSSAA District 10AA All-Tournament team. In the 2007, Flippo led her team to the District 10AA regular season and tournament championship as a junior.

In the classroom, Flippo is an Honor Roll student and is the top five percent of her class maintaining a 3.85 grade point average.

“We are very excited about the addition of Holli to our basketball program,” commented head coach Bill Wilson. “She will make an immediate impact in our program with her work ethic on both ends of the floor. Holli is a student of the game which is exactly what we look for in our system of play.”

Flippo will make her debut for the Tornado women’s basketball team in 2008-09.
