Brevard, N.C. - Michael Stamper finished tied for ninth overall at the rain-shortened Montreat College Spring Invitational on Monday in leading the Tornados to a fourth place finish at nearby Glen Cannon Country Club.
The Tornados finished the round with a combined score of 310, finishing 11 strokes behind overall champion North Greenville University as they closed out a tough Spring Break stretch of two tournaments in five days.
Stamper finished the round carding a 76, 4-over par on the day to six in a five way tie for ninth place overall to lead the Tornados. Jonathan Poole and T.J. Hoard finished a stroke back at 5-over in a tie for 14th, while Thomas Rennie rounded out the group with an 80 in a tie for 26th.
Brevard continues their spring season on the road as they travel to Charlotte, N.C. to take part in the Hargett Memorial Invitational, beginning on March 28th.
