Conover, N.C. - Jonathan Poole shot the low round of the day for the Tornados, carding a 77 through the windy conditions at the Rock Barn Golf & Spa on Tuesday afternoon as Brevard finished up the 2011 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference tournament in ninth place overall.
T.J. Hoard led the Tornados in the event, finishing the final round with an 80 as he came in 15th overall in the event, narrowly missing out on All-Tournament honors. The freshman carded a three round score of 232, the sixth-lowest score by a Tornado men’s golfer in the conference tournament.
Poole began the third round of the tournament in a tie for 34th and improved his position by ten spots with his second 77 of the tournament to finish in a tie for 24th overall with a three-round score of 238.
Thomas Rennie and Michael Stamper also took the field for Coach Matt Adamski, with Rennie finishing the two-day tournament with a score of 251 to finish tied for 42nd, while Stamper dropped 11 strokes off his second round score to finish tied for 46th overall with a score of 255.
