Brevard, N.C. - The weekly Brevard College Coaches’ Show will have a new location in the 2011-2012 athletic year and a new name as the Tornados will host "Coaches’ Corner at Dugan’s Pub." The show will take place at Dugan’s Pub, located on West French Broad Street, located in the French Broad Plaza across the street from the campus of Brevard College.
The first show of the 2011 year will feature football coach Paul Hamilton and "Voice of the Tornados" Dwayne Summers, as well as various fall sports BC coaches, starting on Monday, August 29th, at 12:30 p.m. The show, which will be broadcast live on WSQL 1240 AM, will discuss various topics such as the Tornados’ upcoming opponents and preseason insights as well as other various questions that could arise as the Tornados open their fourth season as full members of both the NCAA Division II and the South Atlantic Conference
Coaches’ Corner at Dugan’s Pub will be broadcasted every Monday afternoon from 12:30 – 1 p.m. during the fall season, before making the transition to Tuesday afternoons when the BC basketball teams take the courts. As always, members of the community and media are invited to attend the show and interact with the coaches, as well as various BC student-athletes.
Dugan’s Pub offers a selection of sandwiches, wings, and nachos, as well as traditional Irish fare in a fun, family atmosphere, so do not miss out on the opportunity to get a good meal and talk Tornados athletics as Brevard begins the 2011-2012 season.
