Lumbu recorded one of the best months in recent BC football history on the defensive side of the ball as the senior defensive end leads the Tornados and the South Atlantic Conference in the sacks category, as well as finishing the month second overall in the SAC in tackles for loss. Lumbu also recorded 31 tackles in the month and added two quarterback hurries and a fumble recovery. Lumbu also established a new Brevard College career record, breaking Justin Jefferson’s sacks record of 12.0.

These two athletes will be presented with action shots recognizing their award, which will be displayed in the lobby of Boshamer Gymnasium for the entire school year. A total of eight female and male Sports Spot Athletes of the Month will be selected in the 2010-2011 academic year.
