Johnson City, Tenn. - Kayce Martin and Jordan Tager recorded a pair of top five finishes for the Tornados in the first day of the Johnson City Invitational on Friday evening, leading Brevard to a third place standing after the opening competitions.
Martin finished second overall in the 400 meter hurdles, recording eight points for Brevard after crossing the line with a time of 1:00.85.
Tager continued his hot start to the spring in the Men’s 5000 meter run, crossing the line with a time of 15:58.29, finishing fifth overall on the day in recording four points for Brevard.
The Tornados are currently third overall with 12 points, leading South Atlantic Conference opponents Carson-Newman and Lincoln Memorial, while trailing Bryan College and host Milligan.
The second day of the Johnson City Invitational continues today in Johnson City, Tenn.
