Rock Hill, S.C. - For the second time this season, Brevard’s Sam MacNeil earned South Atlantic Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week honors for the week of March 26 – April 1, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.

MacNeil, who earned POTW honors for the week of March 4 – 11, went a perfect 4-0 on the week in both singles and doubles play, topping opponents from Anderson and Wingate.

MacNeil’s week included a key 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 victory over No. 18 Southeast regionally ranked Stan Atema from Anderson at the No. 1 position. Earlier that day, MacNeil paired up with Beau Wills to knock off Atema and Daniel Gonzalez 8-6 at No. 1 doubles.

In Brevard’s match against Wingate later in the week, the sophomore once again teamed up with Wills to defeat Wingate’s tandem of Flavio Rathsam and Neal Towlson 8-5 at No. 1. MacNeil concluded the week with a 6-3, 6-1 straight-set victory over Rathsam in No. 1 singles.
