Harrogate, Tenn.- The Brevard College men's basketball team fell 75-51 to the No. 18 Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters in Tex Turner Arena on Wednesday night.
The Tornados went into halftime down 33-27 after a solid first half, and opened the second half on an 8-3 run to pull within a point of LMU at 36-35. The Railsplitters, however, responded with a 20-4 run to push their lead into double digits for the rest of the game.
Vincent Bailey and Cam Carden each scored 18 points and combined for 19 rebounds for the Railsplitters, who were coming off a 67-66 loss to Anderson over the weekend. LMU shot 49.1 percent (27-for-55) from the floor in the contest.
Miles Leathers had 11 points and five rebounds to lead the Tornados in both categories. LMU held a 43-23 advantage on the glass in the game.
The Tornados look to rebound as they visit the Wingate Bulldogs in Cuddy Arena at 4 p.m on Saturday.
