Charlotte, N.C.- The Brevard College women’s tennis team fell to Queens University of Charlotte 7-2 at Freedom Park on Wednesday afternoon.
Claire Dillman and Nirvana Silva took their singles matches for Brevard, but it wasn’t enough for the Tornados to overcome the Royals.
On the no. 2 court, Dillman beat Queens’ Morgan Roberts 6-2 and 7-6, while Silva took down Farina Rafiq 6-4, 2-6, and 7-6 in a battle on the no. 5 court.
BC’s Michelle Prata took Christin Rustscheff to three sets in the no. 1 singles match, but Rustscheff eventually prevailed 5-7, 6-2, 6-2.
The Tornados return to the court as they open South Atlantic Conference play with a match at Wingate University against the Bulldogs on March 19th.
