Greenville, S.C.- The Brevard College men’s golf team finished fourth at the Cherokee Valley Invitational in Travelers Rest on Monday and Tuesday.
The Tornados battled strong wind and frigid temperatures to collect a score of 643 (+67) in the two-round, nine-team event hosted by North Greenville University.
BC freshman Sami Vanni carded the Tornados best score of the tournament, shooting 158 (+14) over two days to finish eighth individually.
Fellow freshman Petter Lehmann also finished in the top 10 for the Tornados, carding a 160 (+16) to finish tied for 10th individually.
North Greenville took home the team championship with a score of 612 (+36), while Danny Dippel (146, +2) of North Greenville was the individual champion.
Paul Calac finished tied for 16th with a score of 162 (+18), while Johan Nordahl and Brandon St. Louis rounded out BC’s performers.
The Tornados are back in action as they compete in the Carolina Sands Intercollegiate in White Lake, North Carolina on Saturday and Sunday.
