Brevard, N.C.- Claire Dillman and Michelle Prata paired to take the number one doubles match before winning their singles matches to lead the Brevard College women’s tennis team to a 6-3 victory over visiting Lenoir-Rhyne at McCoy Tennis Complex on Thursday afternoon.
Dillman and Prata toppled Nateesha Hurtt and Ivey Tant 8-0 on the number one doubles court to set the tone for the match.
Dillman then handled Tant 6-0, 6-0 on the first singles court while Prata picked up a 6-4, 6-1 win over Hurtt on singles court two.
BC’s Elise Labus and Katie Ouellette both battled to three-set victories in the number three and four singles matches, respectively. Nirvana Silva also won her singles match for the Tornados, dropping L-R’s Amanda Bryan 6-3, 6-3 on the fifth court.
The Tornados improve to 1-3 in South Atlantic Competition.
The Tornados are back on the court on April 2nd as they host the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters at McCoy Tennis Complex at 2 p.m.
